Introducing Antonia Seegars
Born and raised in metro Detroit, I’ve always had a special love for the arts. Music became my first love as I couldn’t contain myself whenever a beat would drop. From ages 3 to 18, I trained at MBS Training Center for Performing Arts that later turned to Dance Motion Xplosion Dance Academy. I focused on many genres like lyrical, tap, jazz, ballet, broadway and hip hop. I grew up with a huge family full of singers, producers, DJs, dancers, stylists, filmmakers and photographers. I learned to expand my expression through different mediums including photography. My love for capturing moments in time came from my Grandfather documenting every first step, recital, and basketball game I had. You can meet the man himself in my micro documentary, “So Much,So Many”. About a year ago, I started my own photography business called Shots of Ton Photography. On March 7th, 2022 I announced I will be starting my music video career and changing from photography to productions.
I always knew I would be in the entertainment business, but I never knew it would come this early in my life. I didn’t know I would have already worked on campaigns for G-Eazy, Black Eyed Peas, and Chloe X Halle by my Junior year of undergrad at Wayne State University.
During the second semester of my sophomore year, I went on a life changing trip to New York after not getting my dream job. I attended a conference for young African American leaders by an organization called WeBelieve, which I later became a member of. I promised myself from then on, I was going to elevate myself into the person I envisioned as a kid. That person would be someone no entertainment company, like Sony Music would pass up on.
Since then, I have:
Partnered with Universal Pictures on a advanced screening of Queen and Slim at Wayne State University.
Been selected as a Forbes Under 30 Scholar, which allowed for me to be selected as a For(bes) The Culture Member.
Became a Sony Music U College Marketing Representative for the Detroit, Michigan market.
Became a three times intern at RCA Records.
I am currently interning at the Detroit Pistons and graduated from Wayne State University in December 2022.
